Nosey Joe's is a monthly dance venue in South East London. It is held at The Royston Club a large Ballroom which was used by Peggy Spencer and her Latin Dancers. This has to be one of the best dance-floors in London.

Resident DJ Dr Swing is joined by great bands to provide a great night for dancing.

Travelling to the Royston club

Car

Penge is situated between Anerley and Beckenham just off the Beckenham road (A234). The Royston Club is at the junction of Royston road and Westbury road. As Royston road is a one way street with traffic flowing towards the main road the club is approached by turning into Clevedon road. At the junction with Westbury road turn left and the entrance to the car park is on the right hand side. Although the car park is very large it can get busy, please park carefully. If the car park is full there is free on-street parking available.

Train

The Royston Club is easy to reach by train with a short walk from either Clock House or Kent House stations. The journey from Central London to either station takes around 20 minutes.

Clock House Station is on the main line from London Bridge. To walk to the venue from Clock House Station, exit the station and turn left on to the Beckenham road, walk for about 5-7 minutes and Royston road is on your left.

Kent House Station is on the main line from London Victoria. From Kent House Station take Plawsfield road towards the Beckenham road. Turn right onto this road, Royston road is the next road on the left.

Tram

Beckenham road Tram Stop is very close to Royston road. The journey from East Croydon takes 15 minutes. To walk to Royston road turn right onto the Beckenham road. Royston road is a short walk on your left.

Bus

Beckenham road and its junction with Clevedon road are supported by a number of bus routes. The details below were correct as of January 2009.

Crystal Palace - 358 stops at Clevedon road and takes 13 minutes from Cafe St Germain

Beckenham - 227 stops at Clevedon road and takes 13 minutes from the High Street/War Memorial

Sydenham - 194 stops at Clevedon road and takes 20 minutes from Newlands Park.

 

Travelling to the Royston club from Surrey and West Sussex

Take the A23/M23 towards Croydon

At Purley you will see the Tescos on your right hand side. At the Traffic Lights get into the 3rd from the left hand lane signposted A235 to South Croydon.

Keep on that road past Doves Garage etc… Follow the road into South Croydon. At the Edge Pub on your right there is a set of Traffic Lights carry straight on past Leon House on your right.

Go under the flyover bridge (Italian Rest. on your right) take the immediate right after the bridge (right hand lane) this will take you up to the flyover onto a slip road.

Take the middle lane marked A232 Past Fairfield Halls on your left At the 3rd set of traffic lights (including pedestrian) turn left signposted East Croydon Station.

Dog leg past the '50 pence building' and bus station over 3 sets of traffic lights. Past East Croydon Station on left.

At the T Junction turn right and take the 1st exit at the Mini Roundabout signposted B243. Keep following this road over the humped Zebra crossings and it will become A215 carry straight on Past the Esso garage on your right.

Take the right hand turn before the railway bridge signposted Anerley, Penge A213 (Manor Road).

At the T Junction turn right A213 to Penge. At the 3rd Set of Traffic Lights (Including pedestrian) turn right Past Sainsburys on right.

At the Citroen garage turn right into Clevedon Road. At the Mini Roundabout turn left into Westbury road. At the junction of Westbury road and Royston road turn right into the entrance to the car park. Although the car park is very large it can get busy, please park carefully.
